I found my own lump and in the space of less than a year it was 3cm and had spread to 5 lymph nodes. I also had a 3cm area of DCIS in the same breast so a mastectomy was my only choice.
I had an ultrasound assisted biopsy to check that both areas were cancerous and found it only hurt in the area that was very close to my chest wall.
As the other ladies have said you have already been through a fair bit and we all make our own decisions. Unfortunately cancer can grow quickly and the earlier you find it the more choices you have. Wishing you all the best with your decision making. Deanne xx
