Hi Everyone,
I have recently been told that I have a new lump in my left breast and now a new one in the right.
At 38 I had surgery to remove a lump that was thought to be a DCIS but came back in...
Hey Harote
I also welcome you to the wonderful site. I also agree that we all get to make our own choices regarding tests to confirm whether we do or don't have BC. You have had a terrible time of it haven't you which must have made you very anxious. I am also very sorry to hear about the loss of your mum to BC.
I have had two core biopsies under ultrasound. The first one was the only way they could actually pick up that it was a cancer tumour I had which I had surgery and removal of the lump. The second time was just recently to check that I did not have a recurrence.
I found that there was minimal pain and I didn't feel they were that invasive especially when they were going to help confirm it was cancer or not.
I agree with the other ladies please speak in detail with your surgeon or your decision and that I am wishing you all the very very best on whatever decision to decide.
Thinking of you and wishing you well in your decision making, Mich xo
