Half way mark
Well at the half way mark for Chemo. A very bumpy ride with the last one a major reaction to taxotere. Yuck! Slowly getting back to myself now but the old tummy thinks it's the end! Not long to Chris...
Hi Holly,
I'm oestrogen and progesterone positive. They have me on Arimadex to block the oestrogen. I'm not on Hormone Replacement Therapy but was on a natural one before this all happened which was working great, but not sure if I can go back on that now. I'm 55 and going through menopause. My GP has put me on catapresse for the night sweats and that seems to be working. I did take some SAGE capsules from the health shop but seeing we live about 2 1/2 hours away from there I got the prescription to see how that would go. The night sweats are a lot better now.
Yes, I know when you live that far away from a hospital it is scary. My temperature went up to 38 and wasn't sure if I should go to the hospital or not but decided to wait till the morning to see if it was better. It seemed to go up each time on the taxotare.
That's great you have been able to let go and get help with your little boy. Mine are all grown up and married thank goodness, or it would have been harder. I have a great support group with my family as well.
