Half way mark
Well at the half way mark for Chemo. A very bumpy ride with the last one a major reaction to taxotere. Yuck! Slowly getting back to myself now but the old tummy thinks it's the end! Not long to Chris...
Hi Holly,
That's great you are halfway through. Taxotere, yep it knocked me as well. I thought I had no reaction until it hit me a few days afterwards. I just wished I had taken some panadol or something before when the symptoms started, but wasn't sure what I should take and couldn't get onto my oncology nurse. After that I felt better, but it did knock me. The next round I started taking the panadol I think it was, straight away and I was much better, I was even able to travel to a wedding, which I wouldnt have been able to do on the first round.
It seemed to be the first round of chemo that effected me the most when they changed it. So that would have been the first one and the fourth one.
I've been finished since the end of April, but it felt like a long time when I was having treatment and we had to travel 2 1/2 hours for it.
