Hair Update...

So it's been 65 days since my last chemo, and exactly 8 months to the day that I found my boob invader...and I can report that all body hair is back with a vengence!

I've got about 1/2 cm of fluffy growth on my head (excuse the photo, no makeup or Photoshop here!) lashes & brows are returning, as well as leg hair, "down there", armpits and everywhere else it was before! Can't yet tell if it's going to be curly, but it does appear to be the same colour as it was before.

I'm thrilled about the eyebrows and eyelashes, not so thrilled about the rest! Oh well...can't win them all! I wouldn't have complained if the hair loss was permanent for me! :-P

(But I always was the odd one out in that respect!)

Hope everyone is as well as they can be!

From Bobbie

  • I agree it is easier without the hair! and quite enjoying my scarves and turban hats. I have not lost all my eyebrows yet (2 more doses to go) but am enjoying the lack of waxing - I had to go every 2 weeks!! the pros and cons of hair - or no hair lol

    keep well

  • Congratulations on the regrowth. I still haven't got hair under my arms, so yay me I say. Its been a year since my chemo finished so I am guessing that hair isn't coming back at all. My eyelashes took ages to come back and to be honest they were stubby little things for so long.

This week I got a knot in my hair, thats a first. Some people look fantastic sans hair, me not so much.

    Take care

  • Hello Bobbie,I'm with you on this.I would have been very happy if my hair had stayed away!I am 5 months past chemo now,and just this week I am noticing that when I get up in the morning, the side of my hair where I have been laying is all messed up.Before there was no difference! I have decided to keep mine really short, and may even go and get a trim this weekend!Nice to hear from you Bobbie.CheersxoxRobyn
  • You always make me smile with your posts. Yes bummer about the down there hair LOL. I must say when I was bald and hairless showers and getting ready took much less time. One of the positives I looked for whilst going through treatment. My chemo curls are well and truly gone now, but it was amusing to have curly hair for the first time in my life ;) Hope you are doing well. Paula xx
