I am on the last 5 rads. Due to finish 20 November. I bought some Moogoo Skin Cream but found it too heavy for my skin. So I have been using the Moogoo Scalp cream which is a much lighter cream. So far I have a slight pink tinge to my skin but nothing else. I started slathering my whole body with sorbolene cream (terry white chemist brand) when I started chemo. My skin got so dry so quickly. The four weeks between chemo and rads I slathered my chest with the scalp cream. I still use the sorbolene on the rest of my body. My skin was fragile by the end of chemo but it is all ok now.
My rads nurse recommended getting around topless for a little while each day. I have been doing this. Also no bra, especially nothing with a wire in it. I have been using the bonds tshirt singlets. They are soft and cool. When I go out I just put a light blouse over the top. My biggest complaint is the awkward position they have me in tends to leave me with sore shoulders by the end of the week. Nothing really compared to chemo.
Oh, I had a lumpectomy RHS. 30mm tumour, 8 nodes.
As Michelle said if you can get out and do something, or stay in and do something to keep mobile. It does seem to help me. I also have a massage once a week (Bowen Therapy) which helps me. And morning tea with some other pink chicks once a week helps your morale.
Take care. Let me know if I can help you in any way.
