Hi, I finished chemo 4 weeks ago and have just had a double mastectomy with reconstruction on Tuesday but I seem to still be losing hair especially eyebrows and eyelashes. Has anyone experienced this?...

I think when we let go of the expectation of whats ahead and how it should look, we actually just coast along in our own time...but we get there. Yes it is a very hard decision, I did my mastectomy/diep flap recon a year after treatment due to a recurrence at the 4yr mark. It didnt make it any easier, hardest decision ever, but I havent looked back, love my recon and am finished. I worked with an Exercise Physiologist too for the past 13 months, it was invaluable. I wouldnt be where I am now if not for that. Slow and steady... and then emotionally it takes alot too to catch up. x
