Hair is back!

Hi girls,

I finally worked out how to upload a more recent photo (told you I was trying, Mich -finally got there)

It's exactly 12 months since chemo started last year and looking back it seems to have passed in a blur. The worst part now is trying to sort out all the payments, refunds and differences to claim on tax this year. The spreadsheet in My Journey has been absolutely brilliant - listing each item as it came in has made the whole job so much easier. Thank you BCNA - and all pink sisters starting this journey, take the time to do it if you can - it will make everything much easier later on.

I am rather enjoying the short hair cut, but it takes some getting used to. Love to you all - hope everyone is travelling as well as possible -

    Know just what you mean! When we babysit, they go to bed at 7 and we go to bed at 7.30! But they are a joy.

    I still go to tuck the bob behind my ears and it isn't there! It is very easy to manage, but still too curly to grow longer just yet! For now, short is the new normal - but who knows by Christmas?

    Hi Michelle, Thanks for sharing the new photo and the new hairdo! Will you go back to the length your hair was or do you recon you will keep it shorter now? Great to see your smiling face. ~Daina

    The lovely Michelle

    I have been called lots of things before but never tonic but I will run with that especially if I can be a gin and tonic hee hee.

    Don't talk to me about kilos, dirty dirty word but I am now going to Curves - been there twice so far this week or you could say three including enrolling.  I need to get this weight off as it is hanging around and just seems to be growing by the day.  It will be interesting to see what happens with my weight for the six weeks I am off of Femara plus the pain I am dealing with on a day to day basis and then again when I go back on Femara before reporting to my horrible grumpy bum chemo onc, it will be interesting.

    My beautiful Miss B is doing really really well.  Considering the vet gave a prognosis of 5 months she has already gone past that and is not showing any signs of slowing down in any way, thank goodness.  I don't know what I would have done if she was struggling at the same time I was struggling over the last 4 1/2 months.  She has been amazing.  I wish I could give her a clean cancer free body like I have.

    So all good on my home front including y most beautiful grandchildren, I get to look after Miss Millie (Amelia) tomorrow so it will be a wonderful wonderful day.  Like Leonie says grandchildren give you a whole new meaning for living.  It is so special.

    Yes - I think I will leave it the way it is. So much easier, and the body's been through enough the past year. Struggling to lose a few kilos that have stuck like glue since chemo. How are you going since getting your wonderful 'all clear' news? Hope Bundy is doing ok too. Love and hugs,

    yayyyyy well done Michelle, you look absolutely beautiful.  I loved my hair when it was at that stage.  It is a nice colour, are you leaving it r natural now?  My hubby wants me to as he said then you don't have to worry about it going grey and think how much you save on colouring it.

    I am definitely keeping mine short now.  It takes forever to grow anyway so short is the new me.

    I too found the whole My Journey Kit fantastic and I still use it regularly now.
