Hair growth

Oh @PatsyN, I hear you!!! I finished chemo end September and it took forever for my eyebrows and eyelashes to grow back. My hair looks horrendous - grew back as friar Tuck style so now the very front is the shortest. Still using a bandana to disguise it. Facial hair is off the richter- like I'm a fluffball face - yuck! Xx

Whenever I get bad news I come home and take a few selfies and try to capture my feelings. These were taken a few days ago just after my surgeon told me that my mastectomy was not conclusive and that I'd be back in theatre Jan 31 for an axillary node dissection. My chemo finished in mid November and my eyebrows and eyelashes are just starting to grow back. I'm gonna give my hair a number 1 until it looks thick enough (which it isn't yet). My pubes were IPL'd sometime ago due to my viking genes, lol. But the hair on my face didn't seem so fluffy and fine before chemo. I will definitely be watching what it does next. I hate hair anywhere, tbh and am thrilled to see bald arms still, lol.

@AllyJay - oh dear. Those words don’t cut it but I can imagine it was a shit experience.

@LMK74  - yes if our hair could go back to normal - it would be lovely. Not being a negative Nancy but not much else is normal anymore. I guess a new normal. I keep looking at hair accessories Lol!!! 

@Sunshine0206, long story. Let's just say  that the wheel of my walking frame  (thanks chemo for now needing a walker), had a discussion with a drain....wait for it...on the premises of my local public hospital, The walker stopped, I didn't, and ended up in said fine establishment for five days with head laceration, broken ribs and further damage  to my shoulder, which was why I was there in the first place. (Physio appointment).

So many little sheep with white curly frizz! If I had managed to have that Sinead O'Connor look, I wouldn't have minded bald either. But I didn't. I looked much better in my wig than with my new hair (seriously bad perm look) but I didn't care, it was MINE! 

@AllyJay, lol with the descriptions. I'd be totally pissed off if my hair was that long and then have it all go.
@Sunshine0206, you rock the bald look and I think you look beautiful. My hair feels soft as baby hair but the texture is different. I hope it goes back to the way it was prior to chemo but from what others are saying it might take awhile. I loved being bald just for a change.

Goodness!!!! What did you do to your head???

@AllyJay that’s so funny - my hair grew back the same, grey upstairs, brown elsewhere. Lol
