Hello, After 3 FEC's and my second docetaxel on Tuesday, I now appear to have hair growth all over my head. I never shaved it in the first place but just cut it short and most of it fell out but I was left with many fluffy bits so have never became totally bald. I was certainly not expecting this to happen during chemo, has anyone else had this? thanks, Julia

Hi Julia, yes my hair started to grow back on Taxol chemo, it became very fluffy and i got my partner to shave off all the fluff.Now my hair is thick and about 3cms long yay yippeee!

interesting.... Unfortunately like Lutte, I have also lost most of my eyebrows and eyelashes, Let's hope the fluff keeps going! Julia

I had 3 doses of FEC and lost my hair completely. I shaved off the last bits. However my hair started to grow back during Taxotere. But my eyelashes fell out and my eyebrows thinned drastically. I completed Chemo about 2 months ago. I now have hair that looks like a pixie cut, my eyebrows are back to (almost) normal and myy eyelashes are coming in slowly. All good.

Have now finished 4 rounds of taxotere (tc) and am anxious to know how long it may take 4 the fist signs of hair on my head? Am concerned about the number of people not regrowing hair after taxotere. It has been almost 4 weeks since my chemo finished. Am now embarking on radiotherapy, any advice? Hot sweats are also driving me nuts. Do they lessen? How long do they last? During the night they happen nearly every hour. So many questions! Am grateful for any advice as this is my first posting, thanks, jackie

I'm not too flash navigating around this website but I'll try and help.I gather you are clicking onto "my blog"which is a box on the lower corner of your profile box(on your right).A blank page comes up with your picture/profile on the left.Go to top right of this page and click on"create post"(in pink letters).You can then start blogging away and when you are finished,click on"save"down the bottom of page.I hope this is abit clearer than mud for you!   Oh those hot flushes are a hoot aren't they.I was bald from last August so I got to wear my wig afew times for special nights out.But as it came into summer(and I was still bald)I couldn't stand it.I bought alot of my headgear online from USA- www.headcovers.org -they have great stuff and cheap too.You get a bit fed up trying to co ordinate what you are wearing with what's on your head -very easy to end up looking like a gypsy or a biker's chick! As soon as my hair was 1cm long I folded my cotton bandanas over a few times to make a head band and that was so much cooler.I keep a hand fan with me and lemonade iceblocks in the freezer whenever I feel like I might combust.I also take a cold bottle of water when I'm out as a few gulps tends to ward off a hot flush.You just have to have a whole lot of tricks up your sleeve.
