Hair comments

ive got to share this--met someone last week who i have not seen for a few years and she asked a few times 'so how are you really...and eventually i said --oh youve heard i had breast cancer  and she said yes

and then looking at my chest--im wearing a lowish cut top and only had a lumpectomy--she says--'so you had a double mascetomy?''---i said no in fact you would probably not even notice the scar or that ive had any operation at all and she says ' oh thats right you were always small....

and then...gets better..she says ( i havent had chemo and have rather thick longish hair)  --'so you lost all your hair and that is a wig?'---now during the 80's i did have a 'wiggy' style but i was wearing it in a pony tail ....

she does get points for bringing up the issue as mostly i can weeks without any reference to breast cancer so its all good and im still amused by it!!
