Hair colour
Morning ladies, I have a question hope it doesn't sou d stupid but it's about hormone therapy and hair cuts/colours/foils and permanent chemical hair straightening, how do any of these go with the ho...
Hi Glynnis
I started colouring my hair as soon as it was long enough! My hair grew back white grey and at 53 young I couldn't face up to it along with everything else that was going on.
When it got a bit longer my hair started to go curly, frizzy and very dry. ( I previously had a very oily scalp). My hairdresser of 25 years tried to straighten it with relaxer but it went very frizzy the next time I washed it. So I personally wouldnt recommend straightening.
I keep it very short in a pixie cut and only shampoo once a week. I bought a repair oil by Schwarzkopf on damp hair, let it dry ta bit then put a Joico gel on. After its all dry I comb it out and its pretty straight (always had straight hair). The oil is not greasy and kind of dries to feel like normal soft hair.
Forget blowdrying it makes it frizzy too.
It sounds very fussy and I only do that on the days i go to work. Hats and scarves are great to hide bad hair days epecially while your'e on holidays.
Hope this helps.
