Great News!

Hi all you lovely pink ladies. Well after nearly a year of being prodded, poked, injected, etc. I have finally had my follow up mammogram and surgeon's visit and all is clear!!! It feels really good. My surgeon was very pleased with me.What a relief!

I'm still seeing my onocologist every 6 weeks while still on herceptin and tamoxifen then hopefully every 3-6 mnths. Can't believe it is almost over. I know in some respects it is never over and things will never be the same but at least going through this journey - surgery, chemo ( 6months), radiotherapy and countless heart scans, herceptin, and blood tests,  I can now safely say I am a BC survivor.

Keep in touch and let me know how you are going. Thinking of you all often.

Take care

Love Alison xxxx

  • Hi Al So great to read about your great news. It must be a huge relief... It's so nice to have the happy news to celebrate on here. I had my first taxol yesterday so am feeling happy that I got through it... Did have a few tears at first as was scared about having a reaction. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter. Will be a great celebration with your fantastic news Take care Mel xxx

  • It's lovely to have such wonderful support from such lovely ladies. Thankyou. It feels good but I've changed probably for the better- certainly don't things for granted anymore and I've learned to not take life too seriously. Think positively is my motto.

Take care dear lady and keep in touch and let me know how you are going. You never know we made meet one day. I'd very much like to.

Happy Easter to you and your family!

  • You have been great for me too. It works both ways!  I believe so much in positive thinking - mind over matter. You create your own destiny. You will be fine and I'm here all the way whenever you need a chat. My journey isn't over yet. I've still got the rest of the year to get through with herceptin and heart scans but the worst is over and things are clear. Yes it is a great feeling!

Take care dear lady and keep in touch,

    Lots of love,
