Got the results

I just got the phone call from the surgeon to say that the results from the second surgery are back and are good.  Pre-cancerous cells found in the breast tissue (not sure exactly what that means but he said the news was good so I assume that it's gone) and no further node involvement past the 3 sentinel nodes taken last time.  I'll find out more when I have my appointment next week.  I also now know my oncologist (Tony Michele) and radiation oncologist (Scott Carruthers) but can't fine out much about them so I guess I'll have to wait and see what I think when I meet them.  It's nice to get a good phone call.

    Excellent news, @sister

    Getting path results is a weird headspace. I get so worked up thinking about what I will have to do if the results are nasty that getting an all clear almost feels like a let down. Not that I want a shit result, but that element of frustration with myself for spending --or as my lizard brain interprets it wasting--time stressing takes over.

    One thing is for sure, if you don't know what really pushes your buttons and what your psychological weak points are before BC, you sure as shit will be educated once you've been through the blender.
