Having a port is a breeze. I didn't have one with my first diagnosis and wish I did as my veins are trashed. Wish I did as I had its the second diagnosis and chemo was much easier as no issues with veins. I also had the relax pill. They told me if you are relaxed that it helps decrease side affects. I think it really helped. I felt ok anyway.
