Good results!

I saw my surgeon today, one week exactly since I had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. Everything is healing nicely and the pathology showed that everything removed was healthy and cancer-free. We discussed my next step which will be removing my other boob and having a double reconstruction. It sounds like a shocker of an operation, but I know I'll feel uneasy if I keep my 'good' breast. If I kept it and got a third new cancer, I'd be full of regret. I'm also starting Femara tomorrow and hope it will treat me well. And most importantly, I popped into Tiffany & Co today and bought a new ring and bracelet as a present to myself for getting through treatment a second time. They won't be saved for special occasions either; EVERY day is special to me! I'm feeling truly happy and hoping very hard that good health will continue.

  • glad you are healing well, good to hear from you and hope the Femara is a breeze, the double reconstruction may sound hard, but according to the nurses that i had looking after me, most of the other ladies that had the deip flap surgery went home doing well, but i had to be different, mainly i think because i reacted to the morphine, everything has settled nicely now all swelling gone, so i can put on nice dresses etc..again. I wish you well, love the idea of Tiffinays, have not been to many jewelery stores. Enjoy as yes everyday is very special, thinking of you, HUGS! kerri

Congratulations Jane! Great to hear all went well and you are on the mend! A new piece of bling is always a great idea, isn't it? Take care, Celeste?

  • What a relief to get the all clear. You've had a tough week and been very brave so yes,you deserve a treat. Whenever I have medical tests I reward myself,I think it's a great idea but not necessarily Tiffany's each time! Good luck with Femara- I sense more jewellary coming on!
