Good news

Today I met with the oncologist. It was a very daunting experience ...being in the cancer center & seeing many other poor people who looked very pale ,very sick & bald & some very young.I couldnt help but think I dont want to be here...

 

Anyway although i was on the verge of tears the whole consult the news was positive.

 

He feels that i have a minimal benefit of about 0.9% from added chemotherapy & this is basically "not worth it "

He feels i have a good prognosis on tamoxifen alone for 5 years.

 

to double check everything he will present my case at a multi discipilary meeting(MDM) & also get the pathology slides double checked.

 

I then have another appt in 9 days to review what the other docs opinions were at the MDM.

 

SO big sigh of relief -- I may be able to party at christmas after all.!! I am finally seeing a path forward through this haze ..as it is all sinking in.

Thanks again & again & agian to all the positive messges of encouragment. When I see you I will be giving extra big hugs xxxx

    Dear Char that really is great news for you, Mike and the girls. I thought you were incredibly brave when we had lunch on Tuesday - you are made of strong mettle! I look forward to sipping lots of nice cold champers and having a few laughs at Goolwa and Pt Elliot over Xmas. Keep up the good work! Lots of love Tria xxx

    Well it looks like Charles and Camilla left the penthouse a little tidier than expected.......this is great news but as with any renovation a second quote is always best.

    Tamoxifen for 5 years.........well.........look at it as a little bit of red tape !!!!!!
