Good news

Hello there all my pink sisters,  I have been to see my oncologist and all scans were clear thank God!

Now to start with the Chemo, straight onto Taxotere (the Mac truck!)  for 4 months and then off for radiotherapy.  Starting on August 3rd not looking forward to it but at the same time I know that things are well under way for the clean up of any little strays in my body so in turn it is a little comforting plus I'm also 1 step closer to finishing chemo.  :-)  so feeling positive at the moment....ask me again once i've had the treament it may be a different story!  So for now stay positive,

Brightest blessings to you all, Susan xxx

  • Hi Al,  Yes you did have good news too :-)  although we have different types of cancer mine being TNBC I will not have to take the Herceptin but i've heard that the taxotere hits you on day 4 like you've been hit by a Mac truck so I am too very concerned about that, considering my husband works away offshore for 2 week off and 2 on.  I'm luck in the fact that my eldest daughter is a nurse and 26 years old!

Good luck with your treatment & you too keep me posted on how you fare :-)  oh btw where are you being treated?

    Brightest blessings,  Susan xx

  • Great news!  Mine were too so now it is onto treatment, chemo first up next week. I will be having 21 weeks in total and am also fairly positive but the Herceptin does scare me. I went to see my GP today and she reassured me that HER2 was a good thing to get rid of all the stays once and for all!

Good luck with your chemo and keep us informed of your side effects - be interested to know how you fair

    Thinking of you
