Hi Tonya, it seems like I have been waiting ages to start my radiation treatment. I see my Oncologist tomorrow and he will start the process of working out just how many sessions I am going to have and the rest of it. I think it will be atleast 6 weeks of radiotherapy and my breast care nurse has said the same thing. Anyway I will find out when I start tomorrow. Losing my job was a huge shock and was the last thing I needed to happen this year but I guess it will give me the chance to get better and rest after radiation and recuperate quicker. I plan to walk more often and do abit more exercise. I have been given a treadmill that hopefully I will use when the rainy weather gets too much to go for a walk to the park. I just want to focus on my treatment and getting my health and weight under check as I have let myself get abit lazy over the years. I have a nutritionist that I have been seeing and she wants to see me next week before I start radiation. So that will be interesting to hear what she has to say regarding different food groups and healing the body.
You are so right in that I have had some painful tests todo the last 2 weeks. The most painful of all was the Bone Marrow Biopsy. They went in through my right side/ hip and bottom area and even though they localised the area I still felt this prodding for atleast 5 minutes. I am still sore 14 days later. But it needed to be done. I will let you know Tonya how I go with the radiation. Thanks do much for your support and encouragement. Much appreciated.
Take Care
Ronnie xx
