Hi Jacqui, I'm glad that the antibiotics are now kicking in, I would advise waiting until you feel up to returning to work, as you need your strength. I have been off for 4 weeks now, post op and start chemo tomorrow. To be honest the thought of returning to work next week isn't my priority but I need to save some leave for when I have my mastectomy later in the year. I have to have 6 cycles, so will probably take 3 days off each time and work in between but it depends how I feel.
I also have to have the works...chemo, radio and hormone tablets so we have a long road ahead, but I find by putting it into little compartments I cope best. I deal with a day at a time and try not to look too far ahead. I am apprehensive about chemo, but everyone is different so i will just wait to see how it affects me. I will let you know in a few days!
