Hi there. I'm a new user of this network so still finding my way around.
It's been 16 months since I had my mastectomy and axillary clearance. Chemo finished last June and Radiotherapy last Augus...
Hi Tonya
Thank you for your kind message. No it's not fair about the diabetes but you are right, we should all be on a better diet anyway. I have already lost some weight and feel better for it so can't do me any harm. I just have to deal with that. The news wasn't as bad as the breast cancer but both are quite serious I know but that's life. At least I'm still here and intend to be around for a fair while yet. I have previously tried water aerobics and swimming before I was diagnosed with the breast cancer but found that the chlorine in an indoor heated pool gave me dizzy headaches. I really like the great outdoors but a little cold for that right now here in Victoria. Was looking at the gel soles in a magazine just recently so, yes that is an option and I'm sure it will help, if only a little. Enough about me Tonya. I hope you are in good health and continue that way. I'm so glad I found this website as it is great to speak to people who have been through or presently going through the same as us. Thanks again Tonya.
Kind regards
Fay
