Getting the hang of this!

Lovely to hear from you..........sorry to hear about your arm, it's not nice and at least all my ailments for now are on my left, I am right handed. I soon adapted to doing everything with one hand. I broke my left elbow 20 years ago and had 5 children under 13 and hubby who worked away.......that was hard. I miss working so much and have been off since October 25th, My job involves lots of driving and working with children and sometimes challangned parents.

Got through my first chemo ok, I was so sacred but by the time I got hooked up to the bags of potion at 1pm having waited from 9am after travelling up from Mandurah to PMH i was well and truely ready and just wanted to get it over with and get home before the mad rush traffic rush out of Perth.

It's not an easy road and it's the "bloody waiting" I hate. I have always been very proactive and find it very hard to be just waiting around for appointments and then symptons. But that's life and no doubt will get used to it and will probably make me a much better person. I am learning to sit back and smell the roses (for as long as my smell lasts LOL) My taste has gone and everything is "yuk". Having been through all this I am sure I am bringing back some 'orrible memories". I think its very generous of you to want to drive all the way to Mandurah if you live an hour north from Perth you must be way up somewhere around is it after Curribine or somewhere. My memory is shocking but I no all the suburbs up there but not this evening,

My shoulder is pretty maulted too but it sound a bit betters than yours and has been out of action for 16 weeks. I did my pendulem exercises everyday but I only had one break so probably easy and I also had a brace on the whole time. the swelling never went down and my hand looked like a frogs for many months. The race is on as I have to get my arm above my head for the breast removal probably in July after chemo. Maybe when I get into the swing of things with Chemo and can map good and bad days we could meet for coffee in a middle area. Freo is where I have to go for my arm appointments.
