hi there, my advice is to choose where you will have radiation to be close to work if possible--what about peter mac in the city? that is public and the waiting list is ..difficult ..but specialised and no out of pocket expenses. i went private for surgery but i would go public for radiation or only go private if no public nearby to work
i caught public transport which i found really helpful as made journey less stressful, no parking and either walk to work or if feeling tired, caught public transport to work.
as advised--treatment is 20-30 mins top and that includes waiting time, derobing and get lined up--treatment--and then out again; again my expeirnece of peter mac-not in the city--was very smooth and accomodating my prefered times etc
i found having two weeks off about 5-6 weeks into it very helpful too--
