getting easier

It is getting easier to tell other people about what is happening to me now. The tears don't well up in my eyes racing to the flood gates any more.

It seems that everyone knows what has happened to me at the place where I work - well, still not everyone...

Yet so many have commented that I don't even look "sick" or that I look the healthiest I have looked since they have known me - only been a few years for most. I even got a comment - "new skin on your face?"

I must admit that I have tried to keep up my regime of cleanser, toner, moisturiser on my face etc - more for me than anyone else. I am going back to wearing lipstick when I think of it too. After gaining inspiration from Geralyn Lucas' book "Why I wore lipstick to my mastectomy" I guarantee you will laugh and cry along with her when you read her story. I recommend it whole heartedly.

I am feeling quiet and subdued today as I prepare my mind, body and spirit to go and see the radiologist this afternoon for the first time. I am anxious about what treatment will be recommended and sincerely hope it won't upset my weekend routine. Though at the back of my mind I am thinking - will just have to live with what ever comes along.

Well, I am back at work and trying to figure out how to get my website back on track again. It seems to have been lost over the weekend. Oh the joys of cyber space.

Take care everyone and have a great August! :)

Sandy xx
