The waiting is what's the hardest I think and the fear of the unknown but the support I've recieved from everyone on here has made my journey all that much easier for me and my godmother has been great too as she has been calling me from Melb quite frequently as her son had bc a few years so she has been through it with him and I don't speak to my mother because of racial issues my mums racist and I've been happily married for close to 18 years to a wonderful sri lankan man who I love dearly I'm going to look at getting a book from the cancer council yes kids are very resilient and they amaze you with the things they come out with my daughter allways has her way to cheer me up or make me smile and laugh I suppose I couldn't ask for more could I? Her school has been so wonderfully supportive as I have so many friends there and the staff all know and respect us and I know they will watch her especially her teacher my daughter just adores her teacher.
