Hi VSAM,
I have just spoken with our policy team and this looks to be a genetic testing test. We recommended speaking with your medical oncologist about whether it would provide you with useful information.

Carol I think the test you are referring to is different from the Genostics test... My oncologist offered to me too but like you $5k was just too much. I think the difference is the Genostics test shows whether there is any more cancer cells in the body and the Onco test is to see if you need chemo or not.....

My Oncologist offered a test which sounds similar to this, the cost was around $5000 with the sample being sent to US for analysis. He explained that the results would show either high, medium or low risk of the cancer recurrence, and hence determine the necessity for chemotherapy. Unless the results came back as low risk the chemotherapy would go ahead. Unfortunately I don't have a spare $5K, hopefully it will be something which becomes more affordable in the future.
