Thanks Elizabeth for you reply. I have decided to have a double masectomy in a couple of years time as I needed to finish my treatment and after a couple of years the likely hood of it re occuring has decreased and gives my skin time to heal. I am having a boob job for my 40th is what I tell people. I hope to have a re-construction at the same time. I am also the first in my to have BC. I enquired about having my ovaries removed and they said in my case was not necessary. I also had Epilepsy which they found was a genetic abnormality as well. I lucked out in the gene department. I have a son. It must be hard for you being single and not having family but easier in the fact that you know before you had children. Have seen a couple of ladies that have had reconstruction and it looks great the only down fall is that it is a big operation but nothing to much more with what we have been through treatment wise already.
Good luck.
