Genetic Counselling - What are others experiences?

I had mine a few weeks ago, pretty much as your oncologist said, a run through of family history, what the implications are for other family members, briefly touched on insurance as well. They went through what they screen for, not just BRCA 1/2 and what my plans would be if the results indicated a mutation. I also did my blood test at the end and was advised it may take a few months for the results but I should have them before surgery in May.
