Four months on
Hi everyone,
Thought it was time to update my profile pic. It is coming up to 6 months since my last chemo and I am feeling fit and healthy. The hair is growing slowly but nowhere near as thick as it used to be. The colour is pretty much the same although I had been having blond foils for so long to cover the grey bits that it looks much darker than most people remember me being.
I'm in no hurry to start the colouring process again and don't really mind the grey bits for now. I'm liking the short length and think I will stick to a short style as it makes life simpler.
Anyway, hope that everyone is having an okay day. Take care. Deanne xxx

- DeanneMemberIs that how long it is now in your profile pic? It looks great and really suits you. I am struggling with getting it long enough to style. It took 9 weeks after chemo to appear at all, so this is four months since then. I figure it will be at least Easter before I have enough to warrant a haircut! Still I must have saved a fortune in hairdressing costs! Deanne xxx
- DeanneMemberYes it is good just to have hair. Mine took quite a while to come through after my last chemo, so I was getting concerned. It is only just starting to look like real hair now. I do miss my regular visits to my lovely hairdresser. I have not seen her since she cut it short for me just before I started chemo last June! Deanne xxx
- DeanneMemberI had had short hair for years until just before getting breast cancer, but never quite this short! It just needs a towel dry and I can finger comb it into place! Strong wind never messes it up either! Hope you are recovering well from your surgery. Keep in touch. Deanne xxx
- fionafMemberYour hair looks fantastic, I am just 4 months post chemo and my hair has come back the same colour and texture and I have just had my first haircut in a year. I agree with you in keeping the short hair for now as I am enjoying the freedom of it, mine was also shoulder length . Stay well Fiona
- Merlins_mumMemberIt looks wonderful on you. Don't think I can do without my blonde foils tho.... Time will tell. I'll just be happy with hair! Julie

Looks great! yeah short hair is much easier! x
- DeanneMemberI don't know what I was thinking. It had taken me 2 years to grow it to shoulder length before chemo. It was so much work to blow dry! Too much to do now to waste time blow drying my hair! :) Deanne xxx
- DeanneMemberThanks Michelle. We have to take advantage of all the upsides we can! Good luck for your check-ups this month. Deanne xxx
- DeanneMemberThanks Hazel. How you feeling after that last chemo? I hope you can have a smooth end to that part of your treatment. You have been through enough, so I hope you are soon feeling better. Take care. Deanne xxx
