Well Josie you really are a bad girl aren't you! Hope all those confessions have made you feel better.Instead of trading bad habits you've just collected more. But don't worry,cancer doesn't discriminate.I've met so many people on this journey(twice around)who were health fanatics,athletes.skinny etc and they got breast cancer anyway.However,having said that I really do think you should give up the smokes- keep the other bad habits.Here's the thing-we KNOW what's bad for us but we need to be in a good head space to make changes. And I would say that your head is not in a very good place during chemo so don't rock your little boat of bad habits yet if you don't want to.
OK here's my funny story for you.My passport and my driver's licence have both come up for renewal.So my husband and I decided to get our photos done then go on for a special lunch(our anniversary 32yrs).The woman taking our passport photos wasn't very friendly and when I saw mine I asked for another.Well the next photo was even worse but she wouldn't offer another.You can't smile in those photos so I looked like a grumpy old hag with really short hair.I came out of the shop muttering "I'm so upset, that photo will be on my passport now for 10yrs."My husband,who hates to make a scene,ushered me out quickly saying not to make such a fuss. Afterall,your passport just sits in the drawer and nobody looks at it.I had tears welling at this stage UNTIL I said 'give me alook at your photo then" Well it was terrible-way worse than mine.Tears turned to uncontrolable laughter-honestly,I think I'm psycho sometimes.We ended up having a lovely lunch BUT my husband has refused to come with me now to get my drivers licence photo done.
