fish tank

i decided to clean the fish tank today. i was home alone and bored.

I am not talking a small fish tank i am talking a 6foot by 2 foot by 2 foot. I could swim in it.

First problem i encountered was trying to get the water to flow from the hose. i had to suck the end of the hose and ended up with a mouth full of disgusting stinky fish water, which my 80 year old neighbour fought was hilarious.

Second problem i had encountered was how was i going to turn the hose on outside and hold it in the tank at the same time. mmm i had not thought of this and the tank was now 3/4 empty and needed water fast.

I ended up positioning the hose where i thought it would not move and ran outside to turn the hose on. Boy was i wrong when i came inside the hose had slipped out and water was every where. I was now mopping the floor and cleaning the tank.

When hubby got home and i told him the story, he simply stated... why didn't you keep the attatchment on the end of the hose and and turn the water on that way.

Grrrrrrr. Why didn't i think of that???

Well the fish tank is sparkling and the floor is clean and my day turned out to be pretty action packed after all.

  • Hi Leonie,

You should get out there and do the pressure washing together. We did the driveway and the house a few weeks ago and its pretty fun. I have nick named my hubby Archer the Katcher cause he keeps offering to family and friends to do there houses. When they were not keen he was contemplating doing our roof?????? We donot even own we rent.

I am glad he had a days work today he ended up driving me crazy.

  • I have bought a pressure hose to clean down all the garden paths and edges but when my husband saw it his words were "How are you going to use that? Do you have a powerpack?  You d....... you will electrocute yourself - I will do it on my day off." Bugger I was so looking forward to doing this job.  I like water and I like clean and it would be such a soothing but maybe frustrating job!!!!!!   Boys- even if they are grown men - they think they are the only ones to use/do things!!!!
