Hi Jaquie,
i was diagnosed with same invasive ducal carcinoma late September 2014 Sentinel node removed as cancer had just gone into the outer layer but no further nodes were needed to be removed.I didn't start Radiotherapy until first week of January due to infections in the breast from operation.
The actual radiation caused only redness and the breast care nurses checked my skin weekly.Advised to moisturise daily.I went overboard and did it at least 3 times a day.
My bra was the first thing I removed on returning home from treatment.
i did become very tired but thought the daily driving into the City caused a lot of it plus the actual shock of ( how did this happen to me)didn't help my state of mind.If you get tired don't fight it just have a sleep .
I tried to walk my dog everyday just to keep a little exercise going.
i am feeling great now and await my next mammogram in August and keeping everything crossed for good result.
Talk through with your family, friends and Doctors any worries you may be feeling instead of inwardly worrying, which I did at first.Best of luck ??
