First Chemo
I was nervous Tuesday morning. It was busy getting the kids ready for school, organising after school logistics for dancing, umpire and basketball training and finding the bits and pieces I needed to take to hospital - scans, medications, comfy clothing, etc.
Mark was true to form and we were early - about 45 mins this time instead of the usual 1 hour plus - this is an un-intentional ploy of his to draw out the agony of these appoinments. Anyhow, we had time for a coffee on Glenferrie road. In hindsight, I probably should have guzzled a litre of water instead of coffee - might have to address the coffee habit during this journey, but one thing at a time!
Checked in and caught up withe Karen briefly, then were shown to the ward and my room. They were very busy on the ward
