First chemo

Hello ladies updating u all on my chemo today. Well I took 2 friends with me but only one was allowed in due to no room but anyway the friend who came in with me might decided never again haha the poor girl had no fingers left. As I have a port a cath in my chest for my drugs the chemo nurse said this will hurt due to no numbing and it been fairly fresh inside my chest anyway before she started my friend hand was squeezed bug it wasn't as bad :) but nurse said next visit it won't hurt cause they will give me a numb patch. With the nervous of the day I said to my chemo nurse just think once I'm finished the chemo we will look back on this day and laugh. My chemo today I had was doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide the first lot was red fluid I will have that every 3 weeks 4 cycles. With the other one. So far I feel good no sickness but I have my meds when I do

    Day 2 after chemo I still feel ok went for walk to drop my boy to daycare came home and just having a rest day since I had a busy one yesterday. Been keeping up on water drinking loads of it haven't even had a soft drink since Sunday but I don't need it lol. Umm eating more often just to keep on top of not eating bu other then that I'm feeling ok .

    How are you hun??? Yes come to think of it they would only allow one of my family members in with me during treatment. My hubby was with me for 5 out of the 6, then my youngest daughter came with me for the last one. Boy was my teenager good with it!!! LOL!!! I expected her to be terrified of the procedure, but she was amazed and gob smacked by it all! Go figure huh? LOL!!!

    So yes another one 'Bites The Dust" now you will feel a little more empowered with the first under your belt darl!!! You go girl and rest as much as your body needs. And ask your friends for help when you need it ok???

    I just took them each day for the first 3 or 4 days.I didn't wait to feel sick.xox

    I got anti nausea meds for this morning and tommorrow morning to take after breakfast then just got the ones when need to have when I feel sick but how u ment to know if u feel sick to take them. Yeah I'll be walking a bit next week once school goes back walk my boys to and from school

    Its a relief to get that first one done, then we can tick that off and look forward to ticking off the next 3 doses! Keep well
