First chemo today!
The yuk yuks have hit already. :(
I've taken everything in my box of tricks including the stemetil suppository.
Here we go!

My lovely chemo nurse gave me some Movicol sachets to help with that lovely little delicate subject. Hopefully they will work for me :-)

Hey chick
How you feelin today? When the horrors start hitting your mouth, try bubbly water. I found that helped instead of just water. I couldnt stand drinking tap water. It tasted soooo wrong. I also love love love the Breaker milk drinks, choc worked best for me. I also lived on custard. that worked well for me and helped keep my fluids up.

I am sending you healing hugs for as long as you need them, hope they help. I am waiting for my onslaught from chemo Wednesday. Other than back pain and constipation so far I doing okay (as if that wouldn't be enough for a normal person but because we going through chemo we just take it in our stride don't we??).
Lap up all the love you have around you, nurture yourself and do all those things you would normally be telling your patients to do.

Hi Dan, sorry to hear you were feeling below par last night - thought of you while at chemo yesterday and hoped you would have a good aftermath - at least if you were feeling rotten any stray cancer cells were feeling worse! hope it lasts as short a time as possible, I havent been through it, it all sounds really horrible, nothing worse than that bloody nausea, anyway all my very best, I truly hope it is short lived and that you can enjoy life between this treatment and next as much as possible. I get my final pathology next thursday and hope I have caught early enough to avoid any chemo or rads at all xoxox
