Is it tomorrow? Your start on 24Mar Monday right?
Do as normal thing today and have a good dinner time, choose for those food you like, pack well for tomorrow treatment, like enough clothes, sock, books/ipad something entertaining. I went their alone, but I am self entertainer.
I tried to keep warm myself to make the canulla easy (Ar, drink plenty of water before that) Bring some ice water, or ice lemenade to cheer up yourself. You've well done to read alot, and actually you are mind-prepared. Bare in mind, you may or may not have the symthoms. So if it comes, you won't feel strange, you know it, so if it come, let it come.
Even though I just had the 1 time drip, I reckon, the drug worked immediately, you will feel good at the beginning since there are steriod, keep your fluid during the drip, and keep wee wee is good sign, the chemo will contiue to work and the signs will shown when the steriod gone (maybe a day or 2 later) you'll start feel tired, and the curve going downward, don't be afraid of it, red blood cell is clearing and regrow very slow, and later white blood cell down too, you will feel it....and try to keep your appetide, food could help you up with the red blood cell, however, white blood cell is really depends on your own immunse system and supposingly can't eat anything to help. Once you go through the curve, Chemo work finish and slow down, your body back, Bloods cell growing as normal, so some how you'll back yourself by the 3rd week, and ready for next round.
I in believe, as far as you know and understand how it play, you'll much easy to go through it. Synthoms and side effect caused you lots of reaction, however, you know the drug is working, and during the time plenty of fluid and water and rinse your inner body, if fit, walk more, sweat yourself, help the drug running better.
I hope you could cope with it, if it comes, let it come.
Take care
Rosanna
