Hi Sam,
Welcome. Ditto what the ladies said above. I also agree I would be a blubbering mess if it wasnt for my husband and parents/children. They are the source of my strength. Everyone keeps saying how strong and positive i am...but in actual fact I would be a total mess with out my support group. I also have a great work support grp.. I'm allowed back at work in between chemo when i feel well enough. Which is keeping me sane.
I had my mastectomy and axillary node clearance 29th Oct 2010. Started chemo on Christmas Eve 24th Dec. I have one more chemo to go on the 8th April then only Herceptin (i year) and Tamoxifen (5 years) to go. I'm atarting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope all goes well with your operation and results. Are you having reconstruction done at the same time as the mastectomy?
Hope you hear from you when you're well enough
