Finishing treatment

Hello lovely ladies...from reading your posts, most of you gals seem to be newly diagnosed and recently under going treatments. Well I am at the five year and all's well stage. I finish my trial in October an then I'm off the drugs. I am happy about it but also scared. No more safety net. Has anyone else been there done that? Would love to hear some thoughts... x Linda

  • Hi Linda, congrats on the 5 years:) I am now 9 years out, I had the surgery, chemo, rads then also went a trial for herceptin for 1 year...after that no further treatment as I am not hormone positive. You do get used to no more treatment and you will still have your checkups as most trials want to see you for quite some time.

You won't be alone and most people posting on this site will understand how you feel...there is so much we can do ourselves such as being involved, keeping busy, exercising, diet related, relaxation and the list goes on...

    Good luck x Sharon
