Finished!

Last radiation treatment done! Going to indulge in some chocolate mud cake with friends and family this afternoon to celebrate. It's made with dark chocolate so it's not all bad and we have beautiful fresh berries to go with it! I can't believe I made it through without any major burns! I actually feel as well as I did before BC. No more chemo, no more radiation, just hormone therapy to sort out! Wishing you all a little bit of my happiness to brighten your day! :) Deanne xx

    Glad you are on the mend, Jackie. It does feel great to be able to get on with life. I seem to be able to enjoy the little things that I never noticed before BC. Keep enjoying yourself. Deanne xxx

    thats wonderful that you are all done. Hope that mud cake tasted great, you deserved it!!!! I know what your feeling, although I had terrible burns from radiotherapy I finished 5 days ago and my skin is on the mend.

    Isnt is a beautiful feeling to be living life and loving life at last!

    Isn't it wonderful to be all done. As you know I finished just 2 Mondays ago and even though my skin didn't fare to well, I'm healing well and my energy is good. I am so happy to be done so I know just how well you feel. Our lives are starting again and this time I know that it's going to be great. Joanne xxx

    It goes really quickly Carolyn. The five weeks just flew by and honestly, after chemo, it was easy. Just look after your skin and you'll be right. I just kept feeling better and better as the effects of chemo wore off. Good luck with it all. Deanne xxx

    You are so right Tonya, nothing is worse than Chemo! The Radiation Oncologist asked me today if I was feeling tired, but I said that my energy levels actually improved during radiation as the effects of chemo wore off. Will have to see what the hormone therapy does to me now. :) Deanne xxx

    I am so happy for you Deanne. I cannot wait till I can say that too. Have my radiation planning session next Wednesday 20th & hopefully start just after Christmas. Good luck with hormone therapy Stay well xxx
