I just logged on and read your message. I had to have a port after my veins were ruined by chemo and got a blood clot from a pic line. At first I didn't go for this option of having a port in, but after the fact I should've. We don't know how its going to affect us until it happens. My veins will never be the same and as for my blood clot I didn't realize it woul hang around for so long. Had to have an injection every day, then they put me on warfin. Now I bleed easy and get some douzzie bruises. So my port was left in for about 6 months and got it flushed every 6 weeks. Finally got it out. So dont worry to much and good on you for teaching yourself to paint.
I to think about it coming back, but only for a second. What will be will be. I say to myself if it does then I will be better prepared.
