They are just being thorough and it is good that they are just doing the fine needle biopsy as you don't want another op unnecessarily.
Just remember to take it one step at a time and don't let yourself get carried down the 'what if' road. It is hard but most of the time we worry about things that don't even happen. If it has gone to a node then your medical team will know what is best and you will have the treatment they recommend. This would still be very treatable!
Keep busy until you have the test and results. Distract yourself by doing things you enjoy. There is nothing you can achieve by worrying. (easier said than done!) I spent time with friends and family, tried to eat healthy and exercise to help my body and mind. Wishing you lots of good luck for the biopsy. It is good that they are being thorough. Take care.
