Finally surgery

Well, it's "S" day today.   It feels weird to be happy about having surgery but I feel as if I've been waiting forever to get this cancer out of my body.   It's only been 6 weeks, but it's been the longest 6 weeks of my life.     My surgeon says it will all be pretty straight forward and isn't expecting any node involvement or major change in breast shape or size.  So I'm thinking -- lumpectomy, SNB, radio and that will be that.

Im learning things about myself too.   I never thought I was a positive person when it comes to medical issues.  Thought I was a scary cat - but no, I haven't felt scared or worried at all.  I feel stronger than I ever thought I was.  Maybe I'm wearing rose coloured glasses.       Oh well .... Bring it on !

  • Hi!  Just come on here to wish you well with surgery and if you read this after surgery then hoping you are feeling good and happy that surgery is behind you.

Positive attitude is a good asset!
