Finally Home
I want to start with a funny thing that tickled me. Last Saturday my partner rushed me to emergency where we sat all day long waiting for nurses, doctors, and more doctors to make up their minds over what was going on with me.
At the end of the day, it appeared I may have picked up an infection so I was re-admitted at around 5.30pm after having been there since 10.30am! Oh well, numerous needles, blood tests, urine tests and not much being said, I was transferred to "holding" where I was given some horrible dinner, then onto my new home for the next few days to a ward.
On the way along I saw signs that read "neo-natal ward..." and "anti-natal ward" and "maternity" and "gynacology" and started to wonder if they were taking me to the right place! Yes, that's right ladies, I had a new bed smack bang in the middle of Maternity!
That really tickled me - only a week and a half ago I had lost my breast to breast cancer and now I was in a new ward that was introducing new life. Was there a message in there... I wonder.
Anyway, after five more days in Maternity something must have worked cos I am home now and feeling okay - not great - just okay.
Funny things happen when you least expect it though :)
