I have just read your blog , I was told I had breast cancer in march this year. Had a masectomy of the right breast and lymph nodes removed. I had a 15mm grade 2 tumor, had not gone into the lymph nodes. Went to my oncologist last week, and put me on Zoladex injection once a mth and Tamoxifin tablets for 5 years. Dr said because my tumor was contained and had not gone into the lymph nodes Chemo risks were greater than the benefits as the tablets would do the same. I am going to have a gene test as I have family history of cancer. If it comes back positive then will have a masectomy in other breast and ovaries removed.
I have been taking the tablets for 3 days no reaction, does it take a while for the side affects to kick in?. Also having first injection on Wednesday, did you have any problems having the both?. Debbie
