How heartening to read your story. I love that you have taken the time to be actively involved and make an informed choice. I have a friend who also now has two wonderfully perky breasts that she says are even better than before!
I am very newly diagnosed and going through the minefield of information too. I had a skin sparing mastectomy and axilla clearance on Wednesday - reading your story makes more determined to be informed - my initial response was to through all the books across the room - I didn't want to know about it at all. I am looking at the prospect of chemo now after I recover from my surgery. I have stage 3, her2+ve cancer (one 2.2cm invasive tumor and one smaller one) and had 2 positive lymph nodes. Just wondering if you can recommend any reliable other sources of information for me?
Thank you for sharing your story.
