Femara

Hi

Can anyone tell me if Femara can cause urinary problems? I have frequency and urgency. I did have an infection earlier in the year but my recent test was clear. My oncologist said its not related My GP thinks I may not be emptying my bladder fully but I was wondering if this drug could be the course of my problems. It is so annoying and getting me down. Would be interested in hearing from others with similar problem.

  • Hi Leonie

Thanks for your reply to my query. I am still troubled by this but its not getting worse.

Good to have your last chemo over I bet you are pleased about this and no doubt celebrating. Tom and I opened the champayne but had to wait afew days after my last chemo until I felt OK. Will certainly celebrate when I finish the herceptin in Nov.  eight more treatments to go!  The oncology dept is getting very fimilar and have made lots of friends there but wont be sorry when it ends.

    Freezing cold here in Bairnsdale.

    Cheers  June

  • How are you doing?  I have my last chemo tomorrow.  How time has flown - thank goodness.  I don't know anything about your query but I know that my urgency and frequency has increased with being on chemo.  I do drink lots of water to flush the chemo through but boy oh boy there have been some close encounters with the toilet.  We try and fix one problem then another one comes along.  One day I hope to "fix" my bladder once and for all by having an op.  Some of the girls at work (same vintage as me) have had it done and now they run marathons!!!.  I am over operations at present so it will have to go on my "wish" list for a while.  Take care XLeonie
