I deliberately didn't look at the possible side effects of Femara in case I developed them "placebo effect". After about 6 weeks on Femera and feeling fine I was suddenly hospitalised for a breast infection and uncontrollable allergy. The relentless itch on my legs and torso was unbearable - nothing would relieve it except steroids. The rash was so bad it resembled molten lava. My skin hardened so bad my relentless scratching made no marks. Drs did nothing! My husband went home and looked up possible side effects of Femara online. I stopped them immediately and the allergy went. I have tried all the anti hormone meds and I just can't tolerate them. I have had to weigh up being healthy and happy or miserable and sick.
