The research now sugests that if you are doing well ie cancer free on Tamoxifen or Femara at 5 years, then 10 years is the go and no doubt at 10 years they will "discover" that if it is keeping the cancer from reappearing, stay on it!
I agree with you that alive with side effects is a better alternative- my pain is improved/manageable with Panadol Osteo and long acting antiinflammatories like Mobic and Celebrex
