Hello Debbie. Zometa is a once a year infusion designed to help ease joint pain. Unfortunately though I've read up on it, I don't really know a lot about it. This is why I'm sticking to what the surgeon's offsider Dr suggested - continuing to take Actonel Combi D medication - which is six days taking a sachet of powder in water (like a fizzy drink) and one day a week taking a tablet. I think all the aromatose inhibitor medications like Femara, Arimidex and Anastrozole cause joint pain unfortunately - each affecting people in different ways it seems. Are you taking any medication for your joints? I would think you should be. All the best - Judi
