Feeling very scared

Hey RachaelWelcome luvy but sorry you have had to join us.  Mind you we are a great group of pink sisters that you will like us to be as a part of your family for a while.  They have been my special family for 1 1/2 years now so congrats for finding us.As they say you will not know the total outcome of breast cancer until you have had your surgery.  Prior to that it is a bit of a guessing game and after surgery it is all more clear for everyone.  So keep yourself very busy until your surgery and then deal with the diagnosis following surgery.Please make great use of your My Journey Kit which you can request online at the bottom of this page and it will be posted to you within 7 -10 days.  It became my bible.  If I had any questions about anything to do with breast cancer I headed there first.  There are also some other great resources available relating to things of interest to you and it is all free so please take advantage of this.  You can also phone on Monday and request what you need.Where are you located?  A breast nurse should follow thru following seeing your surgeon following your diagnosis.  She will be able to answer a lot of questions etc.  Depending on the outcome from your surgery a plan will be put in place.  You may or may not require chemo and/or radiotherapy.I am sure there will be support groups available in your area for you as well.  There are so many of us here on BCNA who are walking/running proof that BC is doable and life will carry on so try not to be too scared.We are here for you anytime you need one of your new pink sisters,so pop back on here when you need us.Lots of love, Mich xoxo
